If you are looking for a great waterproof, digital camera, I rate the Pentax Optio W30 7.1 Megapixel an A+. It's an easy camera to use and you can store many photos on one card and takes hours of video on an 8GB card, using Quicktime-Mov files to boot. And, since the lens extension is internal, it can't get dirty or clogged with water.

The W30 has a lot more speed than the W20 and powers up twice as fast. It's compact and has a super waterproof capability underwater allowing for continuous shooting for two hours. The camera has a protective glass that is treated with a special coating designed by Pentax, and it does an excellent job of keeping water off the camera's surface. It's takes amazing underwater close up and distant shots, and the colors are exquisite.

The Pentax Optio W30 7.1 megapixel is a great camera to take on hikes or any outdoor activity. Because it's dust proof it stands up well against snow, dirt and water, so you can take it almost anywhere. It has a screen thats easy to view indoor or outside and the anti-reflection coating automatically regulates light, eliminating reflections. I took mine on a camping trip, and it performed like a true camper withstanding a windstorm and an accidental drop on the ground.

I am impressed and I'm sure you will be too with the SR (shake reduction) capabilities, which eliminates shaking and blurring when you're trying to photograph a person or image. The camera will adjust automatically to sensitivity speeds aligning with how much light is on the image you are photographing. I haven't taken a blurry photo yet with this camera, and that's a miracle my friends.

I found that this shake reduction capability comes in handy when shooting video, because it automatically controls the involuntary motions you make while shooting. Close up photography is a snap as well because of the camera's ability to shoot only one centimeter from an image creating fabulous close-ups. I love filling the frame with as many faces as I can making for sometimes interesting and often funny photographs. And because you don't have to keep changing the settings yourself -- it's done automatically, it makes shooting a lot easier.

The other features I love about this camera are if you accidentally erase a shot, it recovers it for you, and the digital filter capabilities allow for editing your work. In a nut shell, I have highly recommend the Pentax Optio W30 7.1 Megapixel camera to many of my friends, and not one of them has been disappointed.
