The DX-3100 camera, produced by Sea and Sea, is a very impressive underwater camera. One of the best parts about this camera is that all of the controls can be accessed while diving or snorkeling. This allows a more precise picture to be taken by altering the many controls provided by this camera. Just in case, the camera is fully covered by DEPP insurance in the event that anything might happen while snapping those underwater photos.

Another great feature of this camera is that with the macro lense, I can get a clear picture as close as four inches away. Though this camera can be used above the water too, I find that it really shows its potential under the sea. While SCUBA diving, on the 3MB fine setting, I was able to capture 20 pictures on the 16mb internal memory card, but it's also expandable to accept larger memory cards.

It can also capture almost three minutes of video as well on the internal memory card. After my trip to the Florida Keys, I came back with some beautiful pictures taken with this camera. After uploading them onto my computer, I was able to send the pictures in emails and also posted pictures to my website. Many people have given me positive comments on them. I have also had one of my favorite pictures blown up and made into a large wall print.

This is a very impressive camera with many more features than you would expect for the price but yet extremely easy to use. My non-technological wife was able to use the camera with almost no help. I have also let the kids run around the yard taking pictures and it had no problems holding up to their rough play habits.

With the many different flash options and camera options you can get a good quality picture in just about any condition. For the price of this camera its hard to suggest anything else with the quality and durability of this one. So if you are planning any snorkeling or SCUBA trips in the near future, I would definitely pick up one of these cameras before the trip. It is a great way to remember the beautiful memories.
